Afghanistan to Participate in 3rd Asian Beach Games Held in Haiyang, China
The 3rd Asian Beach Games will take place in Qingdao province Haiyang city of China from June 16th to 22nd, 2012. Afghanistan will be competing in six of thirteen sports: Beach Basketball, Beach Handball, Beach kabaddi, Beach Soccer, Beach Volleyball, and Powered Paragliding. Afghanistan National Olympic Committee has organized a team of Afghan and Afghan American based Basketball players with the help of Afghan Sports Federation to compete in this year's Beach Basketball competition. Per Mr Ghulam Ghous Nikbeen, Deputy Secretary General of Afghanistan's National Olympic Committee, below are the list of players who will be representing Afghanistan's Basketball Team in the 3rd Asian Beach Games:
