The Afghan Sports Federation (ASF) held it's 9th annual Bowling Tournament on March 11th at the AMF Annandale lanes bowling facilities.
The event started at 10:00 AM with registration of teams and the games continued until 6:00 pm Sunday afternoon. All teams had a combination of male and female players as in years past and special lanes were made available for younger players as to encourage participation from the youth. Families attended the events as well since ASF has as always made sure that its events are organized in a family friendly environment.
Athletes competed fiercely in 3 rounds of qualification until 4 teams reached the semi-finals of the tournament. The Championship game was played between team Tora Bora & 3 Stars. Team Tora Bora was able to beat team 3 Star by a difference of 1 point (final score 469 vs 468!); this was Tora Bora's 6th Championship win over the years. Trophies were presented to the teams by ASF's Executive Vice-President Atiq Panjshiri and other ASF officials.
