ASF presents Spring Youth Soccer Clinic

On March 20, 2010, Afghan Sports Federation hosted its first ever Youth Soccer Clinic for kids ages 7-14. The goal of the clinic was to bring the youth in the community together so they could interact with their peers in a fun and healthy environment. Over 40 children participated in the half-day event which included soccer drills, scrimmages, and a break for kids to interact and socialize with their peers. Between playing soccer, eating snacks and making new friends, the kids left the clinic with big smiles and happy parents. Due to the positive interest and responses received, ASF will create a youth soccer team for boys ages 12-14 in the Northern Virginia area. The team will practice throughout the year and play against other Afghan teams during the annual Afghan Cup in July 2010.
