SAFF women's Championship

Afghanistan Women's Team registered first official win in an international football as they defeated Pakistan National Women's Team 4-0 to collect four points from two matches in 2nd SAFF women's Championship match played at CR&FC Grounds, Colombo on Monday.

Afghanistan appeared in International football in 2010 in 1st South Asian Championship where it conceded 18 goals and scored just two goals. Afghanistan was beaten by Nepal 0-13, which is their biggest defeat so far.

Afghanistan, however, went to Qatar to play an international match which they won 2-0 but the match was not official one.

Thus, the win against Pakistan on Monday has become the first international win for Afghanistan.

Afghanistan will now play next against Nepal while it also waits the result of Maldives versus Pakistan.
